Photos. While I prefer to hire photographers for each project, that is not always an option for every client we work with. We may even need to get creative with the budget from time to time.
Oftentimes, we're led to look for ways to save money without losing quality. This is when we start looking at marketing tools such as stock photography sites; both paid and free.
Since we’re always promoting that our clients produce content and write blogs, we feel it would only be fair to share some of the marketing tools and resources we’ve found in our hunt to be creative with a budget.
Before you consider cutting photos out of your blog read a few of the statistics below. When it comes to marketing your business, I think you’ll find that it’s worth digging through a few dozen sites to find the right images for your next post or project.
Researchers found that colored visuals increase people's willingness to read a piece of content by 80%. (Xerox)
The fact is that it’s easier to read content that has images to help paint the picture or drive ideas home.
Content with relevant images gets 94% more views than content without relevant images. (KISSmetrics)
People are attracted to social posts that have images and are more likely to engage with those posts.
Visual content is more than 40X more likely to get shared on social media than other types of content. (Buffer)
Adding images makes reading feel easier and the article seem better. Remember reading books that had a bunch of images. Easy to read and easy to remember.
Articles with an image once every 75-100 words got double the number of social shares than articles with fewer images. (BuzzSumo)
With images being so important; and so many people creating content, we thought it would be nice to share a list of site to get free stock photos for their content.
It would be nice if everyone was able to hire photographers for every piece of content they produce, but since we can’t…
FREE STOCK PHOTOGRAPHY SITES
If you come across a site that's not on the list and has some pretty good images let us know. We’d love to update our blog with another great site. Adding more photo resources is a huge part of adding to our inbound marketing tools. Thanks in advance. ;)
